16 July 2009 - EU has earmarked more than 40 million euro for the cross-border cooperation programme "Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus"

The main objective of the Programme is to enhance the cohesion of the cross border area through reducing regional disparities and securing economic and social welfare and cultural identity of its inhabitants. From Belarusian side, participation in the programme is open to the Grodno and Vitebsk regions, as well as the Minsk and Mogilev regions and the city of Minsk as adjoining territories.

First call for proposals is expected to be open in the fall of 2009.
