20 February 2009 - European Commission has announced the opening of a Call Proposals under the Culture Programme (2007-2013).

European Commission has announced the opening of a Call Proposals under the CultureProgramme (2007-2013). The programme is aimed at encouraging and supporting cooperation within Europe in order to bring the European common cultural heritage to the fore. The programme supports projects, organisations, promotional activities and research in all branches of culture, except the audiovisual branch.

The total budget of the Programme is EUR 400 million for the 2007-2013 period. The activities supported within the Programme belong to three main typologies, which correspond to the strands of the Programme.This year organizations from Belarus are welcomed to submit their Concept Notes for taking part the Strand: Support for cultural projects (Cooperation Projects with Third Countries (lasting up to twenty four months). The deadline for submission is 1 May, 2009. Funds of between EUR 50.000 and maximum EUR 200.000 are available, but EU support is limited to maximum 50% of the total eligible cost.
